Drug/Nutrient Interactions:

• If you are taking medications, talk to your physician and/or pharmacist before using this or any dietary supplement.
• Amiloride: can reduce zinc excretion from the body, leading to zinc accumulation. Do not take zinc containing supplements when taking Amiloride unless advised by a physician.
• Antiobiotics (especially flouroquinolones and tetracyclines): zinc and magnesium can interfere with the absorption of these medications. Take Zbalance at least 2 hours apart from antiobiotics.
• Glucose-Lowering Medications: chromium and the ingredients in Zbalance may reduce or alter the need for glucose-lowering medications. Consult with your health practitioner and/or pharmacist if you are using any medications.
• Librium: magnesium decreases the absorption of Librium. Take Zbalance at least 2 hours apart from Librium.
• Penicillamine: zinc interferes with penicillamine’s absorption. Take Zbalance at least 2 hours apart from Penicillamine.
• If you are taking medications, consult with your physician or pharmacist before making changes to your diet, exercise, or supplementation program.

Special Considerations/Contraindications:

• Individuals with sickle cell anemia should not supplement with zinc-containing supplements.
